Install a Window

Seriously, I want to change Windows 8 into some better windows like Windows 7 or Windows XP. Sir Tom discussed how to install a window. I learnt that it depends on your operating system, my laptop has 64 bit. So, Sir Tom showed us how to install and it takes years. Kidding. More than a  minute, I think. He also said that we should read the agreement. As a not-so-good-and-lazy follower, I just always click the button "next". Don't follow me because I don't even know what I am talking about. Shooting some troubles

Have you ever saw a basketball player that shoots from the other side of the court to the another side of the court? Well, Midorima Shintarou can do that. He was the 3 point shooter of the Generation of Miracles. Ok, enough with my fangirling issues.

Are you irritated with the beeps of your computer? I'm sure that you want to crash and shut up all those noise. Well, your computer needs your attention. Those not-so-good beeps means that you need to fix something. That is what you call troubleshooting. Listen to the numbers and length of the beeps. Each one symbolize some problems.

When we get inside the laboratory, we connect those unplug cords to the CPU. My seatmate, Toldan takes more than the given time because his computer is unable to connect to the internet.

Th1rteen R3asons Why

Thirteen Reasons why you Should NOT Sleep During Computer Science One.

1 .  Of course,  you will not learn.

13. Your Com. Sci. teacher will remember you as a student who sleeps at his class.

IT IS HORRIBLE. So as a student who have undergone these experiences, do not ever sleep during Computer Science 1.

Feeling secured

Viruses are everywhere, even computer are affected. They become sick and does not function well. They don't even read files or run applications well. Well, you'll just have a mind-burning headache.

Sir Tom teaches us a very effective antidote to fight those mind-crashing viruses. You need to be in the safe mode, which protects your computer. It is like Ceelin Chewables that gives Vitamins in your computer. And you will end up singing "Ah ah ah ah ah"

Healing Computer's Brain

CPU is computer's brain. What if the brain stops working? Of course, the computer will be dead. But computer is not like human. It can be healed and starts working just like they used to.

We became little computer's doctor. We connect wires, cords, slots, disk and ports everywhere. It is very amazing that everything works as one and if there is something misplaced, the whole unit will not work.

When we had a practical test, we misplaced the master-slave thing and Sir Tom deducted 15 points, as far as I remember.

Too old

I thought computer were invented during 2000's because my parents always tell me that I am such a lucky student because there are computers that helps me for my homework and they also told me that during their childhood they don't have any computer.

But I was wrong, computers are very very old. It is older than my parents. Computer were developed according to the trend and time. As time passes by they become more efficient and useful. As of now, there are 5 Generations of Computers, I wonder if when will be the time that it would be 6. ..

The world is full of decisions.

Sir Tom caught my classmates playing Pinball when he enter the computer lab. As he passed by the computers, he is wearing his usual poker face. At first, I thought it was just okay. . .

He gave us a surprise quiz, about the lessons he didn't discuss. I just wish my luck and pray for my scores. As expected, I got a low score. A very very low score which is zero.

After that horrible scene, Sir Tom gave us two options: to record our low scores or to gave an AR to the students who are playing Pinball. If we choose option #1 surely we would have a very low grade at Com Sci 1 and if we choose option #2 it would be a punishment to the other students. As a president, Dodi chose option #1. It made a very big issue to the section, seriously.

Lessons learned. Case Closed.

Computer's Language

Computer is a very intelligent machine and it only computes 0 and 1 in just a glimpse of an eye.

Converting Binary, Decimal and Hexadecimal is quite interesting and uhm. . .fun. It is like a secret code that you should convert to understand it. Computers converts decimal or hexadecimal into binary enable for them to understand.

YES. Computer Science involves MATH. You need your math skills in order to get the correct corresponding answer. Example: Binary to Hexadecimal. 0001 10012 ----- _______16 

• Group the numbers into 2 with the equal value of 8, 4, 2, 1 

           8, 4, 2, 1     8, 4, 2, 1       

           0  0  0  1     1  0  0  1

•  Add the given equivalent values.

          0 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 1

          8 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 9

The rightmost digit indicates the ones digit while the leftmost indicates the tens digit so the answer is 19.

We start the quarter with a discussion just like what typical teachers do but it is hard to had a discussion in Com Lab you need to go near the screen or just stand at the back. Well, I choose the second option. Sir Tom discussed about computers. Amazing. Data can be processed by computer in 0.000000000000000001 second. I wonder if a man can do this. WORLD RECORD!
